Welcome and Week of 1/3 Rehearsal Schedule

Welcome! We are very excited to be starting our initial launch into the 2011 production of Thoroughly Modern Millie, and we hope you and your families are excited as well. As we begin, here are a few guidelines to help us all get on the same page:

• We are working very hard to have student actors available ONLY when they are needed so attendance is very important, but we also know that things come up. Please come in person (or encourage your children to come) and tell me if you need to miss a rehearsal. Especially in the beginning of the rehearsal process, we can work around absences. That does, however, become more difficult as we move later into the process.
• If you (or your child) is ill, we get it - we want you to get better, so we understand why you are not at rehearsal.
• IF YOU NEED TO GET IN TOUCH WITH ME, USE MY EMAIL: coatesd@northsalem.k12.y.us. I rarely check my voice mail at school, and I check Email regularly.
• If there is no school due to snow, there is no rehearsal.
• If after-school activities are cancelled due to weather conditions, rehearsal is cancelled.
• IF those things happen, students should check the call board outside of the chorus room for changes. I'll try to make sure that I post changes on this site for parents and/or student actors as soon as possible.

We are starting with music rehearsals this week, and that will continue through most of January. As we add dance and blocking rehearsals, we'll make sure they are posted as well.
