As we start back after vacation, we are in full swing rehearsal mode. Attendance is becoming more and more crucial, especially for choreography rehearsals. We are also constantly under the threat of snow days, so we need to get as much done as possible on the days we are in school!

This week is our Dance Week! Choreographer Nicole Aravena and her staff will be setting the three big ensemble numbers on the full cast. It is the ONLY week that the cast will be called late until the last couple of weeks before the show. Dear Parents, Cast, and Crew of Thoroughly Modern Millie:
Just when we thought it was safe to put our winter clothes away, we’ve come under the threat of a spring snowstorm or two. Dr. Freeston, Dr. Cyganovich, Dr. Bovino and I have been working on a contingency plan in case we are a) sent home early on Wednesday b) cancelled on Thursday, and/or c) cancelled on Saturday. Here are our plans:
WEDNESDAY. 3/22/11
• IF WE HAVE AN EARLY DISMISSAL, there will be no rehearsal.
• IF AFTER-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES ARE CANCELLED, the stage crew will be excused from class 8th and 9th period to dry-run scene changes.
THURSDAY, 3/23/11
• IF SCHOOL IS CLOSED, we will watch the roads/parking lot, and if Mr. Green decides it is safe, he will open the school for us so we can have our dress rehearsal. The time will depend on when everything is cleared of snow/slush/ice.
• IF WE START WITH A DELAY, and will rehearse as scheduled.
SATURDAY, 3/26/11
• IF THE SHOW IS CANCELLED, we will add a special performance on Monday evening at 7:00. People with tickets for Saturday will have the option to exchange their Saturday tickets at the box office for the Sunday performance on a first-come, first served basis, OR come to the Monday performance. If neither option is amenable, we will refund ticket money.
SUNDAY, 3/27/11
• IF THE SHOW IS CANCELLED, tickets will be honored at the special Monday performance. If coming Monday is impossible, money will be refunded.

Final two weeks schedule.
As we move into these final two weeks, rehearsals are reaching peak intensity. We will be working later. We've been very conscious of the actor's time up to now, and while we are trying to use everyone's time to the utmost, there will be some sitting around time during these last two weeks. Please bring your homework to rehearsal and study during your off-time. There is no excuse for not having your academic work done by the time you get home from a late rehearsal.
Please bring in your tights and cast money as soon as possible.
